Kansas City maternity photography + Country Club Plaza

Ali and Austin, I cannot thank you enough for the grace you’ve given me this summer. They purchased two sessions to help my surgery costs and with a maternity session as well as a newborn, the timing has to be just right.

Of course, (if you haven’t heard), my surgery went not as planned leaving me a long recovery this June and July. Then August came, I’m still recovering and now my little man has been hurt as I’m driving to their newborn session. They showed me grace each time. Both of those accidents, we can’t plan for. But they never misunderstood.

That takes a lot of patience, especially when you’re growing a precious little one. I’m so happy for them. From their wedding to maternity and family photos, they’ve supported me and in return, I’ve had the privalege of documenting their growing family up close. This is what makes my job so special. Staying around for my clients, documenting their life as it unfolds… that’s priceless!

Congratulations to you both. The Plaza KC was a perfect setting with patches of florals, the pretty fountains and even the World Cup teams celebrating by photo bombing. The fun thing about that story is that Austin posted in the KC World Cup FB group to find them and that photo got a ton of attention. It was fun watching them all interact and congratulate this beautiful glowing couple.
