Of course fall is a hot commodity in the midwest. It’s locations like this that are pretty parks around the KC metro, but little did they know I’d be photographing in the grassy patch right outside the buildling. It was the glowing light here with the beautiful halo effect the grass presented, plus the backdrop of the solid white building seemed more appealing to me than a backdrop with 100+ other kiddos taking advantage of the gorgeous weather on the playgrounds and grassy areas.

We just captured so many great smiles and this was a mini session. 30 minutes tops and we got the combos we needed, the family group shots, the cutie pie in all his candids and we were golden (pun intended, aka the “golden hour.”) I so loved that they printed a handful of these to have around their home.
