I photographed a wedding years ago of Caleb and Allison. It was there, that I was listening to this angelic voice warm up before the ceremony. My husband was photographing with me this day ironically. For those of you who don’t know, my husband sings professionally and with the Kansas City Chorale. I gave him and this angelic singer a little meet cute. Philip told Nick (the angelic singer that day) to tryout for the KC Chorale. BOOM, he did. BOOM he was in. BOOM we were insta friends.
I’ve loved following and getting to know the Stoppel family for so many years now. We’ve traveled to the Grammys together, Nick sang at OUR wedding, we’ve listened to countless hours of their music at their concerts and we just have too much fun thinking back to it all.
Nick has always been one of my favorite people. Then we met Courtney.
BOOM, insta friends again. She was so wonderful. And so wonderful for him! They were perfectly wonderful together.
They might not know, but they are two of my absolute favorite humans.. and they TIED THE KNOT. I knew this day would be crazy fun but little did I know it’d be full of so many big heartfelt emotions and tears. It was an honor to be there three fold, as their photographer, as their friend, and also Philip (my husband) sang at THEIR wedding. We hope to be a support for you all in all your years to come.
I’m super thrilled to share these photos. Nick and Courtney, your personalities, bold, vivid, fun, kind are ALL over these photos. Enjoy and thank you beyond words for giving me the honor of being the one to document it up close. I know you have wild photo talent in your family but I know it was nice for your family to be fully present this day.
Cheers to you both and prayers for many more laughs and great adventures together.
