Magical. That seems to be the word that could sum up this whole weeks experience in the 1000 year old Ristonchi Castle in Pelago, Italy with Nicole & Tyler November, 9 2019.
This wasn’t just a wedding “day” but a whole adventure. A cold and rainy fall up in the mountains of Italy left us adventuring inside this 1000 year old castle playing games, doing a pasta making class together, a wine and charcuterie class, hiking in the rain, climbing the 90 stairs to the top of the castle to overlook the valley below above the clouds, the food truck, gelato, (the limoncello, haha), the bride and groom looking like a very real prince and princess ruling their castle, picking wild flowers in the fields for the bride’s bouquet, the rolling clouds that came in for the ceremony, the bride’s “cape veil” that attached to her gown, and my favorite-the pizza making in the 1000 year old stone oven we did for the reception dinner. I can’t forget all the other amazing memories like the “rave cave” in the castle’s dungeon, the little cat Olive who always made her appearance, all the laughs, the hikes, the “ghosts”and so many more.
This was one for the books. One of our favorites of all time. This whole journey there, the 10 days spent roaming Italy, and the journey back to the USA was one I’ll never forget. Thank you for having us there to document such a life event for you all. I’m always honored to be a part of your families weddings & milestones.
Thanks for making us one of you all. Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom.
