Ali & Michael, married at the Red Barn Farm’s Timberbarn in Weston, Missouri on 4.20.19

So many sweet tears throughout this day. One moment in particular that stood out to me was when Ali’s little five year old said in the sweetest little voice, “You know, i’ve been calling him Michael but I think today is a good day to start calling him dad.” He told his mom that first and we both teared up like crazy together when she was telling me that story and then he told me again later when I said, “Do you want to go take photos with mom and dad?” And he said it again. What a super special moment!

I also loved how laid back Ali and Michael were and their sweet adoration for one another. Michael just had that charm and sincerity towards Ali and the way she responded to him and looked back at him was just so peaceful and sweet. I’m so glad their Earth’s aligned so they could find one another. We witness a lot of ceremonies and weddings and this one really tugged at my heart. I could “feel” all the feels as I held back my own tears behind the lens. Witnessing two amazing people start their life long journey and commit their woven story together in front of their friends and family is so rewarding for me. I know they’ll have a life time of incredible days together!

They wanted their wedding to feel like a “garden party.” And in Ali’s words: “We just want this to be an intimate, easy going, fun “garden party” type of affair where people can come drink, talk, eat, and enjoy each other’s company.

I think they nailed the romantic, charming, cool-calm-and-collected experience they were going for. I hope you can feel all the same feels I did by looking back through their photos of their wedding day in Kansas City. Enjoy and congratulations to the beautiful duo and little Carson!
