My ultimate favorite types of weddings to shoot, are these kind. Intimate, charming, artistic, different, meaningful, eclectic, fitting to their personalities, relaxing, and all the wonderful things you dream of your day being. I love, love, love that their entire wedding day was in one place. It makes it easy to do photos in one spot rather than driving all around the city and having driving time take up all your shoot time. Its easy on your guests, and feels like that intimate comfort you want your guests feeling throughout the day. Philip and I looked at the Taylor Barn for our own personal wedding, and I will tell you, this place is stunning and the staff is so kind, so involved and really took care of us. They have a historic barn for ceremony and/or reception, a beautiful porch for cake cutting, a huge yard for yard games and to hang those glistening lights above, and a bridal room full of art from the artistic owners. It was a nice get-away tucked back in the farmlands of Lawrence, Kansas just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. And when I say the best man and maid of honor’s speeches summed up this couple perfectly, I completely mean it. Talking about the love these two have for one another, the uwwy gooey, puppy dog love, that’s genuine and eternal, and so perfectly perfect, it’s almost sickening. Completely kidding about the sickening part. But I probably DID use the phrase “Oh my gosh you both are the most perfect couple for each other,” and “Seriously you two are so stunning and so in love, oh my,” and “ahhhh, stop being so perfect!” about 45 times during the day. I’m sure they were tired of me after a day spent with too many compliments.
But I adore these two and I mean it when I say they are incredible role models as individuals and as a couple for me. I couldn’t help but think about my own fiance all day because I loved the way these two lived their lives together, both in their relationship, in their design and sentiment of the details at their wedding, and just everything! I admire them to pieces and am excited to share WAY to many of our favorite photos from their day. There is nothing they don’t do. They rock climb, hike, camp, bike, he’s a Dr., she’s a school teacher-model-and something along the lines of a body builder. They are so active, it’s incredible!
I apologize up front, I posted about 100 too many images. But enjoy reliving this beautiful spring Lawrence day with Megan & Marcus. Congratulations to you both.

You captured the day with such beautiful pictures that I almost believed I was there in person.
Beautiful pictures, especially the rainbow. Captured the day completely. Great job.
