more about me

World travelin’, sustainability guru, humanitarian, foster and adoptive mommin’, photographer, photobooth-er, educator, multiple hat wearing entrepreneur. This girl’s love language is hugs and her tank is filled by serving others. You can find her under a palm tree, on a mountain, renovating a vintage trailer/house or running through the sprinklers with her husband, two boys and three fur babies.

This intimate and cozy wedding of Russ and Jen’s was something special. Married on Jen’s grandparents property that was very special to them, they all snuggled under blankets and heaters next to the pond she grew up running around. The bridesmaid’s gowns were incredible topped off with the fur. Matt’s humor during the ceremony had everyone rolling. The surprise video from Jen’s son for her and his soon to be dad was a tear jerker. The kids were dolls running outside, twirling in front of the white floral backdrop and the food and cookie tiered cake were just what they needed after a chilly morning. After all, we did start photographing at 6am, before the sun even came up. Done by 2pm after their brunch, I just might say that photographing smaller morning weddings might become my new favorite thing.

I was so honored to Jenny wanted me to be there photographing their big day. It was so special to them and she asked for my availability before picking their final date. And good thing, because I was in Italy the weekend they wanted to tie the knot. So glad we could make it happen.

The Hawley family has always been one of my favorites. Everyone in their family is special. Jessica and I played volleyball together in high school and college, their brother Matt of Hawleywood Films and I go way back to high school videography classes and still to this day we travel the world to Singapore, San Antonio, Thailand, and photograph so many projects together around the globe. My favorite photo/video team was reunited as his sisters wedding. A special treat since he no longer documents weddings (tear). I’m not sure how he MARRIED them and also video-ed the day but somehow all the talent in this family pulls together to make magic happen. Dad was flying a drone and walking his daughter down the aisle. They all are just so talented in so many ways.

I couldn’t be more excited for Jen and Russ. He was the perfect charming she has been waiting for and their families together will conquer the world.  Congratulations to you both and all on the joining of your two families.
