Oh Abby & Eric. Their charming private farm wedding with the perfect blend of classic elegance and shabby chic. With a cabin hidden in the woods, a home to get ready in that looked like it was straight from a Martha Steward or Better Homes and Garden Magazine, families and friends who laugh more than group I’ve ever met, a sunset ceremony, everyone dancing the night away, a firework surprise exit with sparklers under the stars, a birthday cake and song to one of the bride’s favorite people on Earth, dad tearing up the first time he saw his daughter, a groom who entertained for hours, and the sound of the frogs chirping in the pond… this day was nothing short of amazing, low key and personal! If there was ever a more perfect timeline for a wedding, holy cow! With a late start of 3:00pm for the girls prepping in the cabin just above the ceremony site, guys below in their private cottage, it made for a wedding day unlike most. No one had to drive anywhere, everything was in one place, we accomplished photographing everyone at sunset right after their ceremony and headed straight into the reception to celebrate all night. It was seriously one of the best timelines i’ve ever been a part of. As corny as that sounds, having a relaxing day for everyone to enjoy is one of the best secrets to a dreamy wedding day.
I’m so happy for this family. We’ve continued to document cousins weddings and family members throughout this crew and they all really are some of my favorite people! Clients too. [smiles]
