Rachel & Johnny, now getting to celebrate their engagement session. You see, I met Rachel and Johnny at Indie Wed in Kansas City, a really fabulous low key and intimate bridal show. Someone sent them over, “You have to go talk to Jana, she got married in Grand Lake, Colorado too!” The world aligned and I am so thankful to have met them. They are getting married in the Rocky Mountains as well and we will be driving out our 1975 Airstream photobooth (Banana Who? Booth) and celebrating with them in the mountains next summer. (Can. Not. Wait!) After talking about all the details of their wedding, they told me they had a really neat baby blue, vintage car in the family that they wanted as their get-away car or even for portraits in the mountains but they didn’t think it could make it out to Colorado. So, as the Art Director of a local bridal magazine, I decided, “Let’s use that amazing car for an Editorial inspiration wedding shoot, and you two can be my models, that way you can get those fabulous images with the family car.” So we had these two beauties model for our magazine this past Summer and I think we tricked a lot of people. Everyone saw Rachel in “a” gown (not her own) and thought they missed their wedding. THIS, this below, is their here and now. THEIR celebration to the start of their wedding extravaganza. Celebrating with a sunset over the Kansas City skyline and loving on the long lasting roses of the Rose Garden at Loose Park, they included their fur babies Fox and Charlie. Isn’t this the cutest family? I’m so glad to have met them and cannot WAIT for this coming summer! Colorado is one of our favorite places in the world to photograph. Congratulations to you two!
