These are my big hearted friends Laura & Craig. With two of the most precious little munchkins, super hero Liam and little red headed Olive. They are actually living in the house we just moved from, and let me tell you, after living there almost 3 years, they transformed this home when they moved in. Ripped up the upstairs carpet and refinished the original hardwood, painted everything a new color, what was once my bedroom is now full of books, toys, villains, comic keepsakes and bunk beds. Our spare bedroom, now one of the most amazing little girls bedrooms i’ve ever seen. (As you can see below).

Laura and I travel a bit together. Actually let me rephrase that. I get to shoot some of the most amazing places in our country (like the largest cathedral in the US, located in DC) because I get to assist my awesome friend, Laura with her own weddings. I’ve seen the world through her business and mine and I love all the humorous and heart felt stories I hear from her as we travel.

People always ask me “Who is going to shoot your wedding?” And I could have easily chose any of my friends because they are all fabulous. Laura and I have been pretty close (since 7th grade) and her husband Craig has known Philip and I for quite a while now. So Laura and her husband Craig will be flying to Colorado to tag team our wedding: Craig officiating and Laura snapping her magic.

I hope that you come to know how amazing this family is, as friends of mine, as individuals, as leaders in our community, as parents, and as a dedicated husband and wife team. They just moved back here to the Independence square area, planting a church (at my alma mater) Truman High School. Philip and I helped out at the Church of Four Corners the first few weeks they opened, and although we needed to get back to our own church at Birchwood where Philip and I both help lead, I saw a lot of passion and saw God radically moving in the people and the events happening here and am excited to see them grow.
