Congratulations to Mitch & Jenna, married at the Aspen Rooftop in Lee’s Summit Missouri on July 20, 2013.
From the bride:
It’s so hard to pick a favorite point of the day! So, here are a couple of my favorites that come to mind first.
1. Opening Mitch’s gift to me. He gave me a scrapbook of memorable moments from the last two years in our relationship. From pictures, to keepsakes, to movie tickets from our first movie together, I was amazed at the planning and thought he had put into this gift. Seriously, best husband ever. I cried like a baby. And so did all of my girls. =)
2. Releasing the balloons on the rooftop to see each other for the first time.
3. My dad’s first glance…it was so emotional and special to have that moment with him.
4. Our vows. Mitch and I wrote our own vows together, and they were very personal to us. It reflected our relationship, and it was fun to hear our guests chuckle when they heard us say some of our more amusing vows. I’m also impressed I got through them without crying! =)
5. Dancing with Mitch at the end of the night to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. Even though he can’t sing at all, he serenaded me throughout the song, and it was one of the few moments we had just to each other throughout the reception.
6. After all was said and done, and Mitch carried me across the threshold of the hotel room, we stayed up and talked for over two hours about our wedding day. I know it’s silly, but this is the time I will remember and treasure the most. He kept looking at me, shaking his head, and telling me how beautiful I am and he can’t believe I’m his wife. He isn’t always so sentimental in our everyday life, so I loved that he opened up and shared how he was feeling.
I happened to be looking through songs for other parts of our wedding day, and stumbled across some songs of Tyrone Wells. After listening to “You’re The One”, I fell in love and hoped Mitch would like it too. After he heard it, he said he really liked it and thought it would be perfect for our song. Our favorite part is in the chorus…”You’re the song I’m always singing, you’re the where, the why, and the reason. You’re the One.” That’s exactly how we feel about each other. Then, toward the end of the song, it says “My forever’s yours my dear.” I love knowing that my forever is in his hands. =) After listening to more of Tyrone Wells’s songs, we found so many we liked. The song I walked down the aisle to is called “Happy As the Sun.” The tune was perfect for the atmosphere of our wedding and fit our personalities perfectly. It’s very light and upbeat, and the words are so fitting for the moment a bride walks down to her groom to start their lives together. The chorus says “When I see you, I will be…Happy as the sun, lighter than a feather, walking on the clouds when we are together. Every day with you just keeps getting better. The world’s as it should be, when you are here with me

Tami thank you so much for the encouragement! Your words mean so much to me. Not that we need to have our egos boosted, but a simple compliment every now and then is so refreshing. Thank you so so much, that made my day! Looking forward to working with you and being a blessing for one another.
Hi Jana –
Just came across this album as I was checking out “The Stanley” where my son and his sweet bride are having their wedding celebration and reception on Dec 27, 2015.
I hopped on your website to read your bio and WOW….. you are clearly bringing great honor and praise to our Lord thru your talent and all the opportunities and network that He is opening doors for you to be a “light”. May God’s favor and blessing continue to pour out on you, Jana!
I do portrait &wedding photography as a “side passion” but will be stepping away from my lens for THIS wedding weekend of my son – I just want to enjoy it all and be “in the moment”.
I know the demand and cost of wedding photographers, and especially exceptional ones like you, so I am quite sure the date is probably already booked for you! But, as a photographer, this picture piece is so near and dear to my heart, and I love your work and your passionate heart for the Lord, that I thot I would ask anyway to just see if by some “God-orchestrated” chance you would even have availability on Dec 27, 2015?
My husband is the Sr Pastor in Warrensburg at First Baptist Church, and our son is at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago studying theology to go into full-time pastoral ministry. Teea and TJ are High School sweethearts and she us currently living in KC with her mom anxiously awaiting their wedding so she can move up to Chicago to be with him and do ministry together.
One last thing from your bio – my heart resonates with you in your support and love for Compassion Intl. My husband and I just returned from Peru, we were invited on a Pastors Vision Trip w/Compassion and it was incredible! We can’t wait to start taking trips with our church family and exposing them to Compassion kids in the near future.
Sorry if this is too much info – just wanted to drop you a note and ask about Dec 27 date……but MOSTLY wanted to drop a note to say GREAT JOB serving the Lord thru your biz that He has blessed you with – may your heart be encouraged by this stranger…… but Sis in the Lord! : ) Jana – you are truly shining bright with Christ’s love for the world illuminating from your talent and pix and your words/blog/biz! Press On, Princess….you are bringing honor and praise to your Father and Savior!!! Blessings to you!
