We heard giggling happening from the girls bridal suite from the minute we walked into the Grand Hall in Kansas City. From start to finish Christi, Nick and their family and friends spent the day laughing, tearing up, surprising everyone with sweet moments. I loved spending time with this duo in Chicago photographing their Beloved (engagement) session along the water, freezing with no gloves or proper clothes for an unexpected freezing temperature on what was supposed to be a beautiful fall afternoon in Chi-town. The wind tunnel constantly flying Christi’s hair in all directions.. and you know what, they both just didn’t seem to care nor did they complain once. They just wanted to be together and freezing or not, they make being together fun!

So you see, getting to know these two was so awesome, they are so hospitable and inviting. I think my favorite from the wedding day was when Nick stood up after dancing with his mom, and spoke straight to the mother of the bride, since she is a mom of all girls he proceeded to tell her how he wants her to know that she’s just as important, and since she will never have that spotlight dancing the “mother-son” dance at any of her kids weddings, he wanted to “give her the spotlight” and dance with her. Oh my gosh! Melt my heart. I turned to the audience and tears were everywhere. Just a part of the charm. And this whole day was full of love in that kind of way. Between everyone. Christi walked into a room and her smile brought something special that made everyone feel alive and happy. Christi & Nick are two of the sweetest. And that first site with dad and Christi, as he tears up receiving his gift from his baby girl Christi followed by them practicing their dancing in the Grand Hall balcony…. or the rooftop views of Kansas City from the Grand Hall (yowza).

So many favorite memories I’ll take away from this one. I want to wish you all the most amazing marriage. Thank you, thank you for welcoming me into your family. Congratulations to you all again on a stunning wedding day!
