How do you even begin to put in to words how much you love your best friend. The fact that she asked me to take these about melted my heart. I’m so (in every bit of the word) honored. Katy has been with me through thick and thin since kindergarden. We have had a pretty smooth ride in this friendship of ours. We graduated every type of school together (elementary, Jr High, High School, College) and she is without a doubt one of the most bubbly, cheerful, kind hearted, lovable people and role models to me on this planet. I don’t tell her enough. She has worked so hard for the last 10 years studying for hundreds if not thousands of hours to become a nurse practitioner, limiting her time with her friends. But she is THERE and I’m so proud of her in so many ways. She’s talented beyond words and so beautiful truly in and out. I hope her personality shines through in these images. And let me tell you… I’m falling more for Josh every time we hang out. I can tell you ladies, there is a “look” that guys have. And I saw it in him. Not the way HE looks, but the way he looks at HER. Every man (and woman) can have that “look” I promise. It takes your attention. It takes you stopping the world around you and just being present with the person you laugh so hard with. It takes your redirected focus from the busyness of this world and you allow yourself to just pause-and look at her (or him). A great reminder how sweet life is, together. And he recognizes that.  He is so good for and with my Katy. I know he cares for her so much and to be honest, I was the nerd friend who teared up while shooting this session of them. They are so happy and it makes me so happy. I hope while thumbing through this session, you can spot his “look.” He so naturally, on his own, forgot that I was there. It was magic. (Again, nerd photography friend here). That type of authenticity doesn’t take posing folks.
