Some of my favorite little guys ever! I constantly am the one chasing them around the pews of our church before and after service. Peaking around corners to scare them into a hug they so unwillingly didn’t want to give. Always hearing the “naner naner boo boo” from behind me as I converse with my friends after service. Yet every time I try to chase, they seem to always out run me. It always ends with me shouting “one day i’ll be the one running from you.” (And of course they don’t’ get it.) I feel so young now, but Jeremy + Heidi’s littlest, Levi, is just fresh out of diapers. So by the time these boys have any desire to give “girl” a hug, i’ll probably be transitioning into diapers myself. Totally kidding here.
But in all seriousness, I love this family. Heidi has a heart of gold, and a smile that can light up a room. She is a pastors wife, a mom, a children’s coordinator at our church, she puts together the program “Saturday Night Life” at our church for kids to get together and learn about the Bible and memorize verses, songs and just be in relationship. I love being a part of this. Heidi has a soul and a passion for kids, and her boys (Jeremy included) that is beyond what anyone could dream of in a mom.
Jeremy is a teacher at heart. He is our pastor at Birchwood Church in Independence, Mo. He has a dream and a goal to change the community of Independence, bringing everyone together in love, and in relationship through mission, outreach, community events and believes our church body can have a huge impact on the city around us. Both of these two compliment each other well and have so much fun parenting, even through the exhaustion and the rowdy ages. I love them all, and I am so excited to say that after years of telling them I need to shoot their family portraits, I finally got the chance. [smiles] And JUST in time before God’s canvas of Heaven on earth (otherwise known as a midwest’s fall) changed for winter.
I hope you enjoy the love you see here. Because there’s a lot to handle. See their whole gallery here.
Oh, my goodness, precious, precious. What a crew 🙂 Looks like it was a fun photo session, for sure.
