Kevin, the groom, is a former Graceland University men’s volleyball player. I too played volleyball at Graceland so staying in touch with him has been so fun. Kevin was raised in Oakbrooke, Illinois and married the love of his life (who swore she’d never get married) Stephanie. She played volleyball too, so you definitely know what sport their children will be playing some day.
What a perfect outdoor ceremony at the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Illinois. I was so excited for this wedding, knowing how fun these two were. Kevin rode into the ceremony with his groomsman dressed for the day, on their motorcycles. They lined them up at the end of the long walk way so that Steph could walk through as she walked down the isle with dad. I loved all their creativity. Kevin and all the boys at the wedding had custom Chuck Taylor shoes, with the colors and wedding date stitched onto the heel. Stephanie let the boys be themselves, so one of the best men was excited that he was able to wear his tall mohawk all day. The centerpieces at the reception were all named after vintage cars and motorcycles, and Stephanie’s gorgeous smile lit up the entire day. And everyone knows how big she smiles, always laughing at everything-she is SO fun. This wedding was beyond laid back, and so fun to be a part of. Thank you for letting me and the Banana Who? Booth be there with you all to celebrate. Everyone was so hospitable so thank you a million!
Congratulations to you both Stephanie + Kevin. More images coming to the gallery tomorrow.
