Do you ever feel like every magazine page you turn, that blog you follow weekly, or another friends wedding that was posted looks like the last one you just admired? Although beautiful, isn’t it time we rise from the cookie-cutter wedding and break the mold by implementing some detail and decor that leave your guests walking away from your wedding saying, “Man, that was so them!”
Well we are here to inspire… This is a very unique and lovely pop of color collaboration wedding that myself and a handful of some of Kansas City’s best wedding professionals put together this year. We originally shot this to be featured in EA Bride Magazine for the 2013 summer issue. EA is a magazine that seems to be in the forefront of creativity, sharing fresh inspiration and real weddings from some of midwest’s best. Well, we have been biting our nails, tapping our toes just waiting for the chance to share these images with the world. And I am drooling over this shoot. Every time I look at the decor, the details, the raw emotion, the hand crafted DIY, the elegant cake, the interesting doughnut cake, or the gold glitter tipped feathers, I’m just constantly reminded of how lucky I am to have such a neat group of people to be inspired by. These girls are all professionals that I very much admire and look up to and look TO, for really fun events like this. I hope you like our 80’s pop of color with a touch of black chalk board. Come share in some inspiration, see how to make easy and affordable details with a touch of your love for your wedding day, and be the bride to break the mold with the typical decor. You too can have the wedding of your dreams without feeling like you’re in another cookie-cutter wedding, while STILL being on a budget.
Just imagine it for you…An intimate home wedding with some of your closest family and friends. A killer head table and a consistent flow of decor from the ceremony site where everyone gathers around the gently lit fireplace for your vows, to the fun and sparkly reception area with beautiful textiles delicious treats.
